Rebels Secure Groundbreaking $11 Million Deal with Acesso Biologics |
In a bold move that positions the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) at the forefront of collegiate sports marketing, the Rebels have announced a five-year, $11 million partnership with Acesso Biologics, a Las Vegas-based leader in regenerative medicine.
This landmark agreement will see the Acesso Biologics logo prominently displayed on the uniforms of UNLV's football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball teams, marking the first multi-sport corporate jersey patch deal in NCAA history.
The partnership is set to commence in the 2026-27 season, pending anticipated NCAA approval of corporate jersey patches.
Erick Harper, UNLV's Director of Athletics, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "Having Acesso proudly displayed on our uniforms shows its continued support and commitment to UNLV Athletics and our student-athletes."
He emphasized that Acesso Biologics' dedication to innovation aligns with UNLV's goals of excellence and community impact.
Michael Aquino, CEO of Acesso Biologics, highlighted the significance of the partnership, noting, "As Las Vegas continues its rise as one of the nation's elite sports cities, it's a privilege for us to join Nevada's premier collegiate athletics program."
He views this collaboration as the foundation for long-term opportunities that support a program rooted in innovation and progress.
The NCAA's Division I Administrative Committee has proposed allowing corporate logos on uniforms, with a vote expected in January 2026.
If approved, the rule change would take effect on August 1, 2026, opening new revenue streams for collegiate programs.
Kim Damron, President of Learfield Sports Properties, which brokered the deal, remarked, "We're proud to partner with Acesso and UNLV in this transformative partnership that sets a new standard in college athletics in anticipation of jersey patch approvals by the NCAA."
She emphasized that incorporating Acesso's logo on UNLV's jerseys positions the university at the forefront of a new revenue era in college sports.
In addition to the jersey patches, Acesso Biologics will continue its on-field logo presence at Allegiant Stadium and sponsor the south field goal net during UNLV football games.
These initiatives underscore a shared commitment to innovation, performance, and meaningful community impact.
As the NCAA moves closer to approving corporate jersey patches, UNLV's proactive approach with Acesso Biologics exemplifies a strategic vision for the future of collegiate sports marketing.
This partnership not only enhances the visibility of both organizations but also sets a precedent for other institutions navigating the evolving landscape of sports sponsorships. |
