City of Henderson Announces Return of WinterFest |
Annual Holiday Celebration to Feature Tree Lighting, Drone Show, and Electric Light Parade |
The City of Henderson is set to usher in the holiday season with the much-anticipated return of WinterFest, a cherished community tradition.
This free, family-friendly event will take place over two festive evenings in early December.
On Thursday, December 4, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the festivities commence at Water Street Plaza with the annual tree lighting ceremony.
Attendees will be treated to live performances by Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand and the Coronado High School choir.
The evening will culminate in a spectacular drone show presented by Nevada State Bank.
Food vendors and a Holiday Marketplace will also be available, offering seasonal treats and unique gifts.
The celebration continues on Friday, December 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the Electric Light Parade illuminating Water Street.
Glowing floats and twinkling costumes will fill the street, bringing holiday cheer to all in attendance.
Community members interested in participating in the parade are encouraged to apply by November 10.
Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in select categories.
Due to anticipated crowds, organizers recommend arriving early.
Water Street will be closed for the event, and parking will be limited at the Water Street and Henderson City Hall parking garages.
