New synthetic turf field to benefit over 6,000 local children at Reynolds Clubhouse |
In a significant boost to the Las Vegas community, the Las Vegas Raiders have committed $170,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV) for the refurbishment of the field at the Reynolds Clubhouse in Henderson.
This generous contribution, facilitated through the NFL Foundation – LISC Grassroots Field Grant Program, will fund the installation of a state-of-the-art synthetic turf field.
The project aims to provide a safe and modern space for over 6,000 local youth to engage in physical activities and sports.
"The Raiders are proud to invest in the health and well-being of Southern Nevada's youth through this field project," stated Kari Uyehara, Vice President of Philanthropy and Executive Director of the Raiders Foundation.
"This effort builds upon our ongoing partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, where together we've worked to provide opportunities and resources that empower young people to thrive both on and off the field."
The NFL Foundation and LISC have a longstanding commitment to fostering youth development through the creation and refurbishment of community football fields.
Over the past 25 years, this partnership has allocated more than $65 million nationwide, resulting in over 450 fields that serve as vital community assets.
In 2025 alone, the program has awarded over $3 million to projects in 16 cities, including Henderson.
"For more than 25 years, the NFL Foundation and LISC have helped our youth stay healthy and have fun by developing community football fields through the Grassroots Field Grant Program," said Alexia Gallagher, NFL Vice President of Philanthropy and Executive Director of the NFL Foundation.
"The NFL is proud to use its platform to support communities nationwide, and we're excited to continue growing our impact in the years ahead."
The Grassroots Field Grant Program identifies local nonprofit and community-based organizations interested in building or refurbishing football fields in schools and neighborhood parks.
These local agencies receive the necessary financing and technical assistance to enhance the quality and safety of fields in their communities, overseeing construction, maintenance, and programming.
In related developments, the City of Henderson has been actively investing in community infrastructure.
In September 2025, the city unveiled the Champions District along Raiders Way, honoring the achievements of the Las Vegas Raiders and the Las Vegas Aces.
This district features monument signs celebrating the teams' successes and underscores the city's commitment to supporting its professional sports franchises.
Additionally, the city broke ground on the West Henderson Fieldhouse in May 2025.
Scheduled for completion in fall 2026, this 160,000-square-foot, two-level facility will serve as a hub for youth sports and family entertainment, further enhancing recreational opportunities for Henderson residents.
The 2025 Grassroots funding cycle will commence on December 15, 2025, with a proposal submission deadline of March 30, 2026.
Local organizations interested in similar projects are encouraged to apply to continue the positive momentum in community development. |
