Michelin Guide Returns to Las Vegas with New Southwest Edition

After a 16-year hiatus, the prestigious culinary guide revisits Las Vegas, highlighting the city's evolving dining scene.

The Michelin Guide has announced its return to Las Vegas with the launch of the new Southwest edition, marking the first coverage of the region since 2009.

This edition encompasses Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah, with inspectors already evaluating restaurants across these states.

The full selection will be unveiled during the 2026 Michelin Guide Southwest Ceremony.

Las Vegas last appeared in the Michelin Guide in 2009, when 17 local restaurants earned Michelin Stars.

Since then, the city's culinary landscape has transformed significantly, expanding beyond the Strip to include a diverse array of dining experiences.

The return of the Michelin Guide underscores Las Vegas's maturation as a dining destination, with growth evident in both resort-based restaurants and independent off-Strip establishments.

Recent developments include the opening of Carbone Riviera at the Bellagio, a Mediterranean-inspired reinvention of the acclaimed Italian restaurant Carbone.

Designed by Martin Brudnizki, the restaurant aims to be a premier seafood destination in the U.S.

Additionally, the Venetian Resort introduced Via Via, a food hall bringing together East and West Coast culinary hotspots, offering guests a diverse and immersive dining experience.

The announcement of the new Southwest Michelin Guide was made in partnership with regional tourism organizations, including the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

This collaboration highlights the city's commitment to showcasing its dynamic and evolving culinary scene to a global audience.

Anonymous Michelin inspectors are currently evaluating restaurants throughout the Southwest.

The 2026 Michelin Guide Southwest Ceremony, where selected restaurants will be formally recognized, will be announced at a later date.

Las Vegas's inclusion in the new guide reflects its ongoing evolution as a culinary hotspot, offering a rich tapestry of dining experiences that cater to both locals and visitors alike.
