The Tiki Bar Brings Tropical Flair to Excalibur Hotel & Casino

MGM Resorts Introduces Its First Tiki Bar on the Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas has welcomed a vibrant new addition to its nightlife scene with the opening of The Tiki Bar at Excalibur Hotel & Casino.

This marks the first tiki bar in MGM Resorts International's Las Vegas portfolio, blending island-inspired ambiance with the city's signature energy.

Located off the casino floor near the MGM Rewards desk, The Tiki Bar invites guests into a tropical retreat.

A thatched roof crowns the three-sided central bar, while the lounge and performance stage are framed by lava rock walls and flowing magma drapery.

Seating is adorned with tropical patterns and lizard green velvets, creating an immersive environment.

The bar's design pays homage to Excalibur's medieval theme, featuring a lantern casting the silhouette of a dragon, a nod to the hotel's mascot, Murphy.

According to James McBride, Vice President of Food and Beverage at Excalibur, the goal was to merge the tiki bar identity with the castle's essence, transporting guests from the real world.

The cocktail menu offers a variety of tropical concoctions served in unique glassware.

Highlights include the Whip Tai with Myer's Dark Rum, Malibu Original Rum, orgeat, and house-made pineapple whip; the Tiki Time Tea featuring Tito's Handmade Vodka, pineapple syrup, pineapple juice float, and unsweetened iced tea; and the Buzzed Tiki Torch combining RumChata, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, coffee liqueur, banana liqueur, and simple syrup.

For groups, the Blue Hawaiian is designed to be shared, blending Malibu Original Rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, sweet and sour, and cream of coconut syrup.

Happy Hour runs daily from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., offering $8 tiki cocktails and frozen daiquiris, $5 domestic beers, and $6 imported beers.

Live entertainment is scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., enhancing the lively atmosphere.
